Jacksonville Florida Drunk Driving and DUI

A Jacksonville man was charged with DUI manslaughter following the investigation of a motorcycle accident in August, according to a group of Jacksonville Florida drunk driving dui lawyers.

Vickie L. Johnson, 26, was the rider on a motorcycle driven by Kary K. Key, 43, when the Harley-Davidson slid out of control and crashed on West 61st Street in Jacksonville August 18 Johnson was hospitalized with critical injuries and died later that month.

Key, 10300 block of Smith Point Drive, was charged with manslaughter Thursday with DUI, according to a Sheriff’s Office Jacksonville arrest report.

At the time of the accident, police told the Times-Union of the May motorcycle were traveling at high speed at the loss of control keys.

Neither driver was wearing a helmet, police said at the time.
